We depart from El Calafate to Bajo la Sombra port, where you will take a 10 minute boat ride towards the west coast of "Rich Branch". The mountain guides will take you through a trekking trail up to a viewpoint where you will be given crampons to walk on the ice. Once on the ice, you will start a hike of 4 hours where you will see incredible blue lagoons, deep crevasses, botomless water holes and caves that will make you feel you are in the center of the glacier.
Transfer from hotel to the port and back to El Calafate.

Due to its physical requirements and given the difficulty of the terrain, this excursion is only for people between 18 and 50 years old, with good physical conditions, considering that the hike on the forest and the ice takes approximately 7 hours. You must not be overweight, considering the following: your weight in kilograms must not exceed your height in centimeters, minus 100 cm x2 (for instance: if your height is 170 cm: 170 minus 100 =70 x2 = 140). You are not allowed in this tour if you are pregnant; physically or mentally disabled with attention problems or if your walking ability or coordination is affected; have heart conditions at any level, use stents, pacemaker or any other prothesis; medicated with anticoagulants, visible varicose veins grade III, arrhythmias, etc.; have respiratory diseases like EPOC, Asthma, emphysema, etc.
